MUST HAVE CLAUSES WITH MARY BRICKLER
Here's the scenario:
Things are going smoothly for a while and all of a sudden, tenants start to wander off-track.
What stands between you and your tenant is your lease - a legal document outlining the terms under which one party agrees to rent property from another party.
Although you may be getting your rent payments every month, there are other terms in your lease agreement that need to be enforced such as:
• Late fees, added rent & bounced check charges
• Outside maintenance (grass, snow/ice, other)
• Heating and Cooling (changing filters/A/C)
• Early payment discount
• Unauthorized guests
• Pets
• Maintenance & repairs
• Plumbing stoppages
• Attorney fees • Renters insurance
• Illegality
• Smoking
These are just some of the clauses we will be discussing. If you have others, please bring them along.
Join us on March 15 as we get the nuts and bolts of Lease Clauses.
The Landlord subgroup meets at Crosleys Sports Café, 4901 Vine St. in St. Bernard.
The presentation begins at 7:00 but plan on getting there at 6:30 to order food, network with other landlords and make valuable new connections.
All are welcome.
